Location & Challenge
Located on the 11th floor of CIMC, this 600 square metre luxury club (including a president's office, two suites, four staff offices, as well as a parlour, dining room, kitchen, wine cellar, warehouse, housekeeping, lift, etc., all within the design scope) is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and glass curtain walls.The owner demanded a system that could:
1. Always maintain a pleasant indoor temperature.
2. Maintain humidity below 65% year-round despite Whezhou’s coastal climate.
3. Eliminate visible HVAC components to protect the integrity and aesthetics of interior design.
Innovative Solutions
1. Heat Pump Configuration: 3×32 kW full-inverter air-source heat pumps (96 kW total) deliver precise load matching, operating efficiently even at 48°C.
2. Water Temperature Zoning: 5×AI-controlled pump stations supply 3 distinct water loops:
In Summer
- 9°C for ceiling radiant cooling (350 m² panels, 35 kW capacity).
- 18°C for floor conditioning (470 m² PEX-A pipes, 20 kW capacity).
In Winter
- 45°C for backup fan coils (8 units, 45 kW reserve).
3. Advanced Ventilation: 6×350 m³/h ERV units with 70%+ enthalpy recovery, enabling isothermal dehumidification and PM2.5 filtration.The fresh air system utilizes underfloor air distribution with concealed vents seamlessly integrated into interior finishes,while kitchens/bathrooms use negative pressure extraction.
This project demonstrates how cutting-edge HVAC technology can conquer extreme architectural and climatic challenges while enhancing luxury. It sets a benchmark for high-rise glass structures in subtropical zones, proving that energy efficiency and uncompromised comfort are achievable in harmony.
